What is the Metabolic Panel?
The Metabolic Panel is a set of genetic tests supporting the diagnosis of metabolic disorders. At our clinic in Warsaw, we collect a sample (blood or saliva), secure the material, and send it to a cooperating laboratory. This way, you can quickly begin the diagnostic path recommended by your doctor.
Metabolic Panel – how is the sample collected?
First, you schedule an appointment. On the day of the visit, we briefly explain each step to reduce stress. Then, in comfortable clinic conditions, we collect the sample. Afterward, we complete the documentation, properly package the material and arrange shipment to the laboratory, where the analysis is performed (e.g., next-generation sequencing – NGS). As a result, the whole process is simple, transparent, and fast.
Turnaround time and results
The collection itself only takes a few minutes. The laboratory then begins the analysis, and results are usually ready within a few weeks, with a maximum of 60 business days. The report is prepared by the laboratory; discuss it with your doctor, who will interpret the results and plan the next diagnostic steps.
Preparation for sample collection
First, no special dietary requirements are needed.
Second, be sure your child is well-rested on the day of the visit.
Additionally, inform us about all medications and ongoing therapies, as these may be important for further medical care.

Interpretation of results
Each parent receives a detailed genetic report that includes a description of the detected genetic changes and their potential impact on the child’s metabolism and overall health. The report is prepared by a specialist geneticist or metabolic physician and also contains recommendations for further diagnostic and therapeutic steps.
