What is the Neurology Panel?
The Neurology Panel is a set of genetic tests supporting the diagnosis of neurological disorders and diseases. At our clinic in Warsaw, we collect a sample (blood or saliva), then secure the material and send it to a cooperating laboratory. This way, you can quickly and conveniently begin the recommended diagnostic process.
How is the sample collected at the clinic?
First, you schedule an appointment. On the day of the visit, we register the patient and explain each step to minimize stress. After a short qualification, we collect the sample in clinic conditions. We then complete the documentation, properly package the material and arrange shipment to the laboratory, where the analysis is performed (e.g., using next-generation sequencing – NGS). As a result, the entire process is simple and transparent.
What does the test look like?
First, you register the visit. Then we collect a blood or saliva sample from the child in clinic conditions. The whole process is quick, safe, and comfortable. Importantly, the parent stays with the child at all times. After the collection, we complete the documentation, properly secure the material, and send it to the laboratory, which performs the NGS analysis.
Turnaround time
The collection itself takes only a few minutes. The laboratory usually prepares the result within a few weeks, but the maximum timeframe is up to 60 business days. If you need detailed information about the analysis stage, please contact us.
How to prepare your child for the test?
No special diet is required.
On the day of the test, make sure your child is well-rested.
Inform us about all medications and therapies to help with the later interpretation by your doctor.
Result and next steps
The genetic laboratory prepares the test report. The document includes a description of the detected changes and their possible clinical significance. Further steps should be discussed with your child’s doctor (neurologist or clinical geneticist), who will determine the next diagnostic and therapeutic actions.
