What is the Immunology Panel?
The Immunology Panel is an extended set of genetic and/or molecular tests that supports the assessment of immune system function. At our clinic in Warsaw, we collect a sample (blood or saliva), then secure the material and send it to a cooperating laboratory. This way, you can quickly begin the diagnostic path recommended by your doctor.
Immunology Panel – how is the sample collected?
First, you schedule an appointment. On the day of the visit, we carry out a short qualification and explain each step to reduce stress. After preparation, we collect the sample in comfortable clinic conditions. We then complete the documentation, properly package the material, and organize shipment to the laboratory, where the analysis is performed (e.g., using next-generation sequencing – NGS).
Turnaround time and results
The collection itself takes only a few minutes. The laboratory then begins the analysis, and results are usually ready within a few weeks, with a maximum of 60 business days. The report is prepared by the laboratory; discuss it with your doctor, who will interpret the results and plan the next diagnostic steps.
Preparation for sample collection
First, no special dietary requirements are needed. Second, it is advisable to be well-rested on the day of the visit. In addition, inform us about any medications and ongoing therapies, as they may be relevant for further medical care. If you have any questions about timing or formalities, please contact us.
Interpretation of results
After completing the Immunology Panel, parents receive a detailed report with an interpretation of the results and information about any irregularities in immune system function. The report includes recommendations from an immunology specialist regarding further diagnostic or therapeutic steps.
