Gabinet Dobrego Snu grew out of the personal experiences of Helenka’s parents. For many years, they searched for answers about their daughter’s health and development. Today, their story remains an important part of how we approach diagnostic testing for children and the needs of their families.

Helenka was diagnosed with childhood autism when she was two years old. For her parents, Monika and Marcin, this marked the beginning of a long search for support. Appointments with specialists, new recommendations, different forms of support and continually learning more became part of everyday life.
It was not a straightforward journey. It was not always clear which approaches were helping and which were not bringing the hoped-for results. New questions arose, along with the need to keep looking for answers.
Helenka’s parents also decided to open a sports-focused preschool, which they later turned into a therapeutic preschool for children with autism. Helenka attended it for four years.
For more than ten years, the family gained experience of diagnostic testing, therapy and supporting their child in everyday life. This journey inspired them to establish Gabinet Dobrego Snu.

Parents of children who need specialist diagnostic testing often have to navigate a great deal of information, tests and recommendations. We know from our own experience how difficult it can be to work out where to turn, how to prepare a child and what to expect at an appointment.
That is why we established a clinic in Warsaw where access to tests goes hand in hand with careful attention to how they are organised and carried out. We want parents to know what the test will involve, how to prepare their child and when to expect the results.
Not every test is appropriate for every child, and results do not always provide a clear answer. Diagnostic testing is part of a broader process in which the child’s treating doctor plays an important role.

We know that unfamiliar surroundings, new people and medical procedures can be difficult for a child. That is why we pay attention not only to the test itself, but also to how the visit is organised and the setting in which it takes place.
A parent can accompany their child during a daytime EEG. An overnight EEG takes place in a private room with a bathroom. The test records brain activity throughout the night, together with video. A parent or carer can stay with the child all night and is provided with a place to sleep.
Before the test, we provide information on how to prepare. Afterwards, a specialist analyses the EEG recording and prepares a report.
We want families visiting Gabinet Dobrego Snu to know what to expect at every stage of their visit.

At Gabinet Dobrego Snu in Warsaw, we carry out diagnostic tests for children, with a particular focus on daytime and overnight EEG.
A test that records the brain’s electrical activity during the day. The recording usually lasts 30–60 minutes.

We also offer FRAT, MitoSWAB, the Cunningham Panel, and selected neurological, immunological, metabolic and epilepsy panels.
We also help arrange online consultations with specialists from the Vivere clinic. These consultations are provided by Vivere as part of its own clinical services.
Before your first visit, you may find it helpful to see where the test will take place. Below are photos of Gabinet Dobrego Snu, including the room used for overnight EEG and our diagnostic rooms.
